Well, this is probably not what you expected, and I sincerely apologize for the method I used to get you here. Now that you are here, please read the story below, and see if you can find it in your heart of forgive me my deception, and hopefully understand why. My site is dedicated to fun and silliness, but I got a copy of what you will find below at the school I work at, and knew I had to put it on the web in hopes somebody would read it, and perhaps change the way the story below ends for somebody. I know this came off the web originally, and if any of you know where, or who wrote it, please E-Mail the information to me, so I can properly acknowledge it's author.

Death of an Innocent

I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, so I drank soda instead.
I really felt proud inside, mom, the way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, even though the others said I should.
I know I did the right thing, mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, as everyone is driving out of sight
As I got into my car I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet.
I started to drive away, but as I pulled out into the road, the other car didn't see me, and hit me like a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, mom, I heard the policemen say, "The other guy is drunk", and now I'm the one who will pay
How could this happen to me, mom? My live is burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, and most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say I will die in a short time.
I just want to tell you, mom, I swear I didn't drink and drive.
It was the others mom. The ones who didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank, and I will die.

Why do people drink, mom? It can ruin your whole life
I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, mom, and I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare.
Tell my brothers not to cry, mom. Tell daddy to be brave
And when I go to heaven, mom, put "DADDY'S GIRL" on my grave.
Someone should have told him, not to drink and drive
If only someone told him, mom, I would still be alive
My breath is getting shorter now, mom. When I needed you, you were always there.
I have one last question, mom, before I say good-bye

I DIDN'T DRINK AND DRIVE, SO WHY AM I THE ONE TO DIE??

Note from Cliff:
Well folks, there is not much I can add to this. Please, Please don't drink and drive. We have to stop the useless carnage!! We can't keep burying people in the name of a good time. Please use common sense when you party, or this could be how your party ends. Is any party worth this? Think about it.

I have added the link below to the MADD Website. As I worked on the text for this page, I was overwhelmed by the feeling that this effort would not be complete without a way for you the reader to do something about the problem of drunk-driving if you so choose. Please, click through the link, and see what you can do to help. You can find your local chapter, and start your personal part of the solution, and help end the senseless carnage.
